Report: Erling Haaland tells Solskjaer he wants Manchester United transfer

Erling Haaland has reportedly told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to complete a transfer to Manchester United.

According to the Mirror, the RB Salzburg striker is keen to be part of Solskjaer’s revolution and has expressed his desire to join the Norwegian at Old Trafford.

It is believed Haaland has travelled to the training grounds of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig this month, but sees Manchester as his first-choice destination.

Haaland, 19, is one of Europe’s most exciting young players and has scored 24 goals already in this campaign.

The youngster is being chased by a number of Europe’s leading clubs but is attracted by the idea of starting in an attack alongside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

If he does get his Old Trafford move, Haaland would link up again with Solskjaer, who managed him during their time at Molde in Norway.

The striker missed Salzburg’s defeat to Hartberg on Saturday and a two month winter break in the Austrian League may mean he has now played his last game for the club.

United need attacking reinforcements to provide extra competition in January and a move for Haaland is now looking increasingly likely.

However, the report also claims that Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is keeping his client’s options open and would ideally prefer him to move to Juventus.
