Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided Manchester United fans with a positive injury update ahead of this afternoon’s clash against Aston Villa.
Speaking in his programme notes, the United boss says he hopes quartet Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Diogo Dalot and Eric Bailly will return from layoffs in December.
The Reds face a hectic December schedule and the return of four first-team will come as a huge boost to Solskjaer who has rarely fielded a full strength side this season.

Eric Bailly has been ruled out with a serious knee injury since pre-season and his return will provide some competition at centre-back.
Paul Pogba is finally set to return after a long road to recovery following his ankle injury aggravated in the draw to Arsenal in September.
Scott McTominay, arguably United’s best player this season, sustained an ankle injury in the victory over Brighton before the international break and Solskjaer will be desperate for the midfielder to return to action.
See what Solskjaer had to say in his programme notes, as quoted by BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone:
OGS in programme: “Today’s game marks start of busy December which will hopefully get us into the festive season in good shape. Foundations are being laid + mental + physical robustness we wanted to grow from pre-season now showing. Hope Scott, Diogo, Paul + Eric back this month”
