The father of Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland has said his son is keen to play in the Premier League.
He continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford and has previously played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde, as reported by the Express.
While Solskjaer has not been drawn on whether he would want to make a move for Haaland, The Athletic claims he has asked trusted scout Simon Wells to keep tabs on the 19-year-old goalscorer.
“One day, Erling wants to play in the Premier League,” Alf-Inge Haaland told Sport Bild (via Manchester Evening News). “I don’t know when the timing will be ideal. We are ahead of our own career schedule, but it is a very tough league.”

Haaland is one of the most sought after young players in Europe given his sensation form this season — scoring 26 goals in all competitions for RB Salzburg in just 18 games.
Moreover, no-one has more goals than Haaland in the Champions League group stage this season as he has seven goals from four games.
His father passes comment on the Premier League being tough and he’s right, but Haaland is proving himself against top teams in the Champions League already. It may take him time to fully adapt but the talent is there.
