Confirmed MUFC XI v Brighton: Brandon Williams handed first Premier League start

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his starting eleven for this afternoon’s clash against Brighton at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian has made one change from the side that were defeated by Bournemouth last weekend, with Brandon Williams earning a well deserved first Premier League start at left-back.

Williams comes in for club captain Ashley Young who drops to the bench for today’s game.

Meanwhile, Scott Mctominay has recovered from the knock picked up in midweek against Partizan Belgrade and starts alongside Fred and Andreas Pereira in midfield.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford continue their partnership upfront as Daniel James returns to the side after being rested in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Teenage starlet Mason Greenwood is again on the bench after his goal scoring performance from the right-wing against Partizan.

The Reds currently sit an unacceptable 14th in the league but victory today would lift them as high as 7th.
