Man Utd and adidas Originals release new footwear – the Barcelona ’99

The adidas Originals’ annual collaboration with Manchester United continues with beautiful trainers taking us back to 1999, exclusively from the size? Manchester store.

Priced at £100, the Barcelona trainer is a throwback to a very special night that saw the Red Devils beat Bayern Munich at Camp Nou to claim the famous treble — winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League — a feat that has never been replicated by any other English team.

Current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored the winning goal; beating the German giants 2-1 in injury time.

The trainers themselves are trendy and match goers are usually seen wearing three stripes on their feet, so these are bound to sell out quickly, just like previous releases tied with the club.

They are packed with references to the legendary final, too. White with red paint, suede overlays, and the numbers 91 and 93 to remember those two late goals that floored the Bayern players with tears.

There’a also an outline of Ole’s treble-winning goal celebration inside the shoe.

Release date is Friday 1, November. See pictures below:
