‘I am now recovering’: Man Utd star issues injury update

Diogo Dalot missed Manchester United’s draw with Liverpool on Sunday because of an injury he sustained before the international break against Newcastle.

The Portuguese full-back has said he is on the road to recovery and can’t wait to be back on the pitch again.

Dalot was substituted in the 1-0 loss against Newcastle and we’ve yet to be given a return date, and that much remains unknown.

“During the Newcastle game, as you all know I picked up an injury,” Dalot tweeted on Tuesday afternoon.

“I am now recovering, and already looking forward to joining back up with the team as soon as possible to help the boys get back to where we belong!”

You just feel with all the injuries this season that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been unlucky, especially given how light the squad looked in midfield and up front since the beginning of the season.

With Dalot close to returning (we hope), the manager will have more options at right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka currently make the role his own.

Even Wan-Bissaka missed games recently due to illness but he returned against Liverpool on Sunday.
