Kieran Tierney is in line to start for Arsenal against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The 22-year-old was left out of the u23 squad to face Liverpool today, hinting he is ready to feature against the Reds.
Tierney had played over an hour for the u23 side last week in order to build match fitness, after recovering from a double hernia operation which ruled him out of the start of the season.
Arsenal signed Scotland international Tierney on deadline day for a fee reported to be around £25m (BBC).
Some United fans had wanted the Reds to sign the left-back, with many not convinced by Luke Shaw in the position.

Tierney is one of the brightest young prospects in the full-back position and will be looking to establish himself as Arsenal’s first choice left-back ahead of Sead Kolasinac.
He finally made his debut in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night in a 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest but we will have to wait and see if Unai Emery believes Tierney is ready to start against the Reds on Monday night.
