Europa League: Manchester United confirm squad for 2018/19 campaign

Manchester United’s squad for the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League group stage has been confirmed.

The Red Devils take on Astana, AZ Alkmaar and Partizan Belgrade in Group L of the second-rate competition, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to replicate José Mourinho’s success of leading the club to a triumphant Europa League campaign as witnessed in 2016/17.

It all starts on Thursday 19 September against Astana, who United shouldn’t have any problems beating but you can never be too sure given how we’ve started in the Premier League this season…

The squad is broken down into four sections: A List, Club Trained, Association Trained and B List. The latter is not listed as it is made up of homegrown youngsters who can be called upon at any stage of the competition.

A List

Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, David de Gea, Fred, Daniel James, Matej Kovar, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero.

Club Trained

Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay, Andrea Pereira, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe.

Association Trained

Lee Grant, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ashley Young.
