‘Absolute disaster’: Neville says Man Utd ‘need’ to get star out of club

Gary Neville has described Alexis Sanchez’ time at Manchester United as an ‘absolute disaster’.

Speaking after United were held to a 1-1 draw at Wolves, Neville said that the Reds must sell Sanchez this summer.

The Chilean was left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s matchday squad at Molineux and it looks increasingly likely that he’ll be sold before the European transfer window shuts on September 2.

Despite a lack of attacking options for Solskjaer following the exit of Romelu Lukaku this summer, the 30-year-old’s future at Old Trafford seems all but over after a torrid 18 months since his arrival from Arsenal.

He has not once showed the form he was capable of from his days at Arsenal and Barcelona; the transfer has turned out to be one of United’s most expensive mistakes ever.

And reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Sanchez’ switch to Inter Milan is nearing completion. He will join up with Antonio Conte and former United teammate Lukaku in Milan, looking to resurrect his sliding career.
