Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo was reportedly ‘fuming’ that he did not complete a deadline day switch to Everton.
According to the Daily Mail, the Argentina international had been persuaded to join Marco Silva’s side, but a move did not materialise on the final day.
The report claims that United asked for a permanent deal for Rojo, after a loan switch was initially put in place.

Rojo has made just 18 appearances for United in two seasons and with an excess of centre-backs already, it is no surprise the club would prefer him to be sold permanently.
Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling should all be ahead of the 29-year-old in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defensive pecking order.
Rojo has always been an erratic defender prone to a rash challenge, making him a frightening player to have to watch for United fans.
Despite not getting his proposed move to Merseyside, there is still time for Rojo to leave the club this summer with the transfer windows not closing abroad until the end of August.
Although there is no guarantee a club would be willing to pay the reported £25m (Alex Crook) it would take to secure his services.
