Charlie Nicholas believes Manchester United will regret not attempting to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
According to reliable BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, Tierney is set to join Arsenal after a Scottish record £25m transfer fee was agreed.
The North London club previously had two bids rejected for the 22-year-old, but now finally have their man after an agreement was reached.
Tierney is due in London tomorrow to finalise terms and have a medical ahead of his move to the Emirates.

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas believes the talented youngster is better than our current options at left-back.
“My disappointment for Tierney is that Arsenal are the only big Premier League club that has shown an interest,” the Arsenal legend told the Express as quoted by the Metro.
“I’m surprised Manchester United haven’t come in, because he is a better player than Luke Shaw.”
However, Luke Shaw made some encouraging performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season and will be given the chance to shine at left-back this season.
Shaw, 24, still has potential to improve for the Reds and make the left-back position his own in the coming years.
Other areas rather than left-back should be of much higher priority to United in the moment, including in midfield where an addition is still needed.
Meanwhile the Reds, should look to sign an attacker to replace Romelu Lukaku who is set to join Inter Milan on deadline day, as per BBC Sport.
