David Neres has signed a new contract at Ajax, ending speculation of a potential switch to Manchester United.
The Brazilian attacker has extended his current deal to remain in Amsterdam until 2022.
Neres rose to prominence last season, contributing to the Dutch side’s sensational Champions League run, where they overcame Europe’s elite to reach the semi-finals.

The 22-year-old had been tentatively linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Brazilian publication UOL had suggested the Reds had made a late £55m offer for the winger who scored 12 goals in all competitions last term.
Neres is an exciting talent that would have suited Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fluid style in attack, but the Reds must now seek alternatives if they did indeed have an interest in the youngster.
Romelu Lukaku’s impending exit to Inter Milan (BBC) means the Reds need to sign another attacker on the final day, with a lack of strength in depth in the area.
However, with such little time left, it seems unlikely a deal will be completed and Solskjaer’s squad will have to go into the new season light in attacking positions.
