It’s no secret Manchester United need a centre-back this summer and Harry Maguire looks to be the priority target identified by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Reds need an established central defender who can partner Victor Lindelof in defence next season, and there is little doubt that the 26-year-old would significantly improve Solskjaer’s defence.
United know they are operating in a highly-inflated market so the signing of a top defender is not going to be cheap, but there comes a point where it just gets ridiculous.
According to Times journalist Paul Hirst, Leicester are holding out for £95m (£85m plus £10m addons) for their star defender.
MUFC and Leicester still far apart in their valuation of Harry Maguire. Asking price is £85m + £10mhttps://t.co/KZ71xD29vC

NEXT:What Solskjaer said about Dybala will excite Man Utd fans
Granted, the Foxes have no reason to sell Maguire given he is tied down to a long-term contract, but anything upwards of the £75m Liverpool paid for Virgil Van Dijk (BBC) seems excessive.
This transfer window is becoming increasingly frustrating for United and there is no guarantee that any of our remains targets will be secured.
Many United fans have had enough of the Maguire chase and have called for the club to walk away from the move because of the money being demanded.
£95M now? They’re taking the piss 🤣 https://t.co/ZiSw4R3PBS
