Solskjaer compares 17-year-old Greenwood to Man Utd legend

When the manager of Manchester United compares a 17-year-old to the most successful player to have played for this great football club, you know a star has been born.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has compared Mason Greenwood’s story to that of Ryan Giggs after the youngster netted his second goal in as many games for United on the 2019 pre-season tour.

Greenwood showed a degree of bottle as the ball bounced at his feet in a packed penalty area. He kept his cool before striking the ball into the back of the net.

It was the only goal of the match, with United beating Italian giants Inter Milan 1-0.

A deserved win by the Red Devils but it’s going to be difficult now for fans to contain their excitement when it comes to Greenwood.

Solskjaer also confirmed after the match that Greenwood will not be going on loan this season, although we knew that already.
