News emerged from Sky Sports this morning that Manchester United had made a £70m bid to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
The England international has been subject to transfer links to Old Trafford for the best part of the last year, with United now upping their pursuit of the centre-back.

BBC reporter Simon Stone claims the £70m bid in question does not meet Leicester’s valuation of Maguire, but adds that it is ‘wrong to say he is happy to stay’.
Stone believes there’s work to do on this one because neither of the clubs are on the same page, in terms of Maguire’s valuation. The Foxes are seeking the best possible deal but we’re already talking crazy money.
There hasn’t been a report saying the bid was rejected, though Stone drops a major hint that it’s heading that way. If United are serious about Maguire they’ll go back in for him.
I just hope they soon realise they could do better business elsewhere.
