Manchester United’s total club value has tumbled by over $1bn since last August, according to the latest figures released.
The Reds had a dire 2018/19 campaign which saw José Mourinho sacked for poor results. Then results progressed for a brief period under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but we still finished sixth and without Champions League football to look forward to this season.

This is unacceptable for a football institution like Manchester United. A club that should be competing for domestic and European honours, not being made idle by greedy owners who only see the football club as a commercial cash cow.
It even feels weird calling Manchester United a football club nowadays. As a fan, that’s not right.
The poor results on the pitch are having an effect on the club’s value with The Sun stating in a report that the club’s overall value has fallen from $4.27bn to $3.17bn in the space of less than a year.
But don’t for one second think this will make the Glazers sell up before things get worse. They are playing the long game and will happily sit in Tampa whilst draining their cash cow in Manchester.
And, looking deeper into all of this, I wonder if Solskjaer has that big of a transfer kitty to deal with this summer?
So much for backing the new manager. In the Glazers’ eyes, Solskjaer was the cheapest option.
