The stage is bigger now and Wan-Bissaka will get whatever support he needs. It certainly sounds like club legend Rio Ferdinand is happy about the latest signing and he knows a thing or two about playing on the biggest stage in football.
Ferdinand has been linked with a couple of hierarchy roles at United over the past few months, so his comments post-signing carry weight. The club has yet to appoint a technical director, which hasn’t gone down too well with supporters who feel it shows signs that Solskjaer isn’t being fully backed after promises were made.
Talented, Young, English & importantly hungry – great place to start. He has earned this opportunity & I wish Wan-Bissaka all the luck in the world on this new journey 👊🏽 @ManUtd https://t.co/7pggBILal2 pic.twitter.com/ygYflWWNbo

Wan-Bissaka just needs to get his head down and continue working hard. There are additional distractions when you play for United, but he will be given every chance to succeed.
