‘Bring Man Utd back’: Loads of MUFC fans make same plea as Roy Keane leaves Nottingham Forest

It was announced earlier today that United legend Roy Keane had left his role as Nottingham Forest assistant manager after a five-month spell working under Martin O’Neill.

“Working with Martin over the last few years has been a magnificent experience, one of my greatest in football both as a player and a coach and one I want to personally thank him for,” Keane said in an official statement.

Despite Keane suggesting his Forest departure concerns his desire to return to management himself, if has not stopped United fans from suggesting the feared Irishman should return to Old Trafford in some capacity.

Some United fans on twitter have called for Keane to return in a coaching role or even as a director of football.

We all know the chances of Keano returning to Old Trafford are almost none, but there would certainly be fireworks if he did return.

Keane has been vocal in punditry over his opinions over United’s lack of effort at the moment, and did not hold back when discussing the club’s home defeat to eventual champions Manchester City last season.

Although it might not be at United next season, it will be interesting to see Keane’s future plans and his next job in football.
