Unai Emery has been told to quit Arsenal this summer – if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joins Manchester United.
This comes from talkSPORT host Adrian Durham, who reacts to a transfer rumour linking Aubameyang with a move up north to Old Trafford, with The Sun suggesting a transfer could cost £70m.
Aubameyang only joined the Gunners last year but has become a fan-favourite.

If he were to join United, it would be a huge statement for the Red Devils like when they signed Robin van Persie from their Premier League rivals in London. That was a statement and this could be one too, although we’re don’t see it materialising anytime soon.
“There’s this story about [Aubameyang] allegedly liking a social media post which called Emery a puppet,” Durham said, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“It has fuelled all this speculation even more, but I can’t square this transfer. It doesn’t sit well with me.
“If Aubameyang, having scored all those goals for Arsenal, one of the few bright spots for Arsenal last season, if he went to Man United it would be right up there with the Van Persie thing as a betrayal of the Arsenal fans.
“I think Arsenal fans would look at this and say ‘Hang on a minute we haven’t been forking out money following this club, putting up with mediocrity by their standards for all these years just for us to get a decent strike partnership going and then one of them gets flogged’, to a rival as well.
“I think this deal cannot happen, I think Emery needs to come out and say ‘Right this deal cannot happen and if it does happen, I’m walking out on the club’.
“Something has got to happen to stop the bad decision-making at Arsenal football club.
“This deal, I think, is one of those moments in Arsenal’s history.
“If it happens, then I think the fans will turn massively.”
Neither club has passed comment on the ongoing speculation, but it’s not getting a lot of coverage like other potential transfers.
It could be just one of those stories that come from nothing and surface every now and again.
Aubameyang is a quality striker and I think most United fans would be happy to see him join the club from Arsenal. His pace could work wonders in Ole Gunnar Solskkaer’s side with Anthony Martial and a quick right winger (maybe Daniel James) at either side.
There would be room too for Marcus Rashford but everyone form last season needs to take several steps forward this year. What we witnessed towards the end of last term was unacceptable.
