Manchester United are set to lose out in the race for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, according to reports.
The Mirror report that Man City have climbed ahead of United in the race for Maguire, who wants to leave Leicester this summer after two years at the club.
Maguire would prefer to play under City boss Pep Guardiola, which has swayed him in his decision to move to the Premier League Champions.

The 26-year-old defender has been a long term target for the Reds, but the report states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have failed to meet Leicester’s asking price for their star defender. The Reds only bid £40m for Maguire which was not anywhere near the Midlands’ club’s valuation.
Maguire is a proven Premier League defender but there is no reason United can not look to sign a younger, and perhaps more talented alternative. The likes of Ruben Dias, Kalidou Koulibaly and Mathjis De Ligt are still all available this summer, though the Reds will have to spend big to attract any of these stars to Old Trafford.
