Manchester United have been given some encouragement in their pursuit to sign Benfica sensation Joao Felix.
The Portuguese youngster has been strongly linked with both United and Manchester City this summer after a stunning breakthrough season with the Lisbon club.

Felix, 19, has a gigantic buy-out clause worth €120m and Pizzi believes his time at Benfica has come to an end.
“What I would like best is for him to stay here at Benfica for many, many years,” Pizzi told Portuguese channel TVI, as quoted by Manchester Evening News. “Although we know that, in the way the market is, this will be very complicated.
“But I’m sure that Joao Felix will be a world-class player.”
Benfica manager Bruno Lage would obviously rather see his club fight to keep Felix, though he can’t complain if they get a good deal for the youngster. You’d imagine the player himself will want to move on and sign for a European giant too.
The one player this transfer scenario is starting to remind me of is David Silva from his days at Valencia. Why United didn’t sign him then, I don’t know, but he came to the Premier League and has been one of the best players in English since.
Felix is a creative player who could make life a lot easier for a goalscorer.
