Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominday, tonight on BT Sport.
The Scotland international put in a real shift against Barcelona, who were always going to prove to be a test for our midfield and defensive players.

But despite losing the game 1-0, United didn’t play poorly and there is plenty of reason to be encouraged going into the second leg at Camp Nou.
McTominay’s performance tonight was solid and it gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer more reason to play him in the coming weeks, even when Nemanja Matic returns from injury.
Rio certainly thinks so. He claims the midfielder has now earned the trust of Solskjaer.
