We’re nearing the end of the 2018/19 season which means the transfer window will soon open.
Manchester United will be aiming to strengthen the squad in the hope of delivering some success next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to be still at the wheel, trying to take United back to where we belong at the top of English football and competing in Europe.

But it is clear from watching the Reds this term that a winger is needed for the right side of our attack. Anthony Martial operates superbly on the left and there is enough pace to hurt teams centrally with Marcus Rashford as a centre-forward.
Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)
If reports are to be believed, as per The Independent, former City youth player Jadon Sancho will be a prime target for Manchester United.
City do not have a buy-back clause in his contract but will take a cut of the transfer fee, should the England international move from BVB.
The 19-year-old has shown great potential during an incredible breakthrough season at Signal Iduna Park, scoring nine goals and providing a staggering 17 assists for the Bundesliga giants.
Steven Bergwijn (PSV Eindhoven)
In the Eredivisie this season, PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn has racked up an incredible return, scoring 11 goals and creating 12 assists.
It’s a massive bonus to any side if their wingers can hit that sort of tally each season. United don’t currently score enough for the right and the aim of this transfer window should be to balance the attack by making the Reds an overall more potential outfit going forward.
We don’t watch a lot of Eredivisie and the last winger to arrive at Old Trafford from the Dutch league was a flop. However, many will now claim we should have kept hold of Memphis Depany…
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
The Sun previously reported on Manchester United scouts watching Bergwijn.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)
The one who won’t go away.
While his agent Jonathan Barnett makes life trickier for the Welshman at Madrid, United are almost expected to come to save the day for Gareth Bale by giving him the last big transfer, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
No thanks. That ship has sailed and I’m much happier to see the club linked with much younger alternatives, trying to find that future prospect who will improve United now and in the long-term.
There’s no denying that Bale is one of the world’s most talented players, but he’s getting on now and has a difficult past with injuries.
Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)
Manchester United’s interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi only recently hit the gossip columns, but the story has quickly gained momentum.
The Times state that United are preparing a summer move for the young England international, along with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
It’s great to see United linked with the brightest of English talent – Hudson-Odoi and Sancho – but it will be a difficult task to pick which player will be better in five years time or so…
With a transfer ban casting over Chelsea this summer, it’s unlikely that they will let many players go. Eden Hazard to Real Madrid has been on the cards for some time and if they lose him, Chelsea will become even more reluctant to let Hudson-Odoi leave, especially for a domestic rival.
Hirving Lozano (PSV Eindhoven)
The second PSV player to make the list.
While some would prefer to call Lozano an attacking midfield, the Mexico international can play on the left or right.
His displays at the World Cup last year will live forever in the memory of Mexico fans, and the last Mexican to sign for United was an instant hit.
If Lozano could have the same impact as Javier Hernandez had at Old Trafford, although over a longer period, we would be on to a winner by securing his signature.
The Sun reckons United are trying to hijack Napoli’s move for Lozano.
