Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is currently on loan at Fulham, but the Netherlands international could still be part of our plans for the future.

The 21-year-old will hope he can go on to make the same amount of appearances and more than United legend Andy Cole, who his father took the opportunity to take a selfie with recently.

Cole is no doubt used to taking selfies with supporters being one of the best finishers to have worn the shirt during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign, but you’d think posing with a current player’s father made for something different.

It’s always great to see players and their families lap up the culture of Manchester United and Cole is definitely part of that.

Fulham have had a dreadful season and Fosu-Mensah has only made 8 appearances, as per WhoScored. That will send doubts to United but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have a different perspective on the player when he speaks to the coaches who know him better.

This is a player who has appeared on the international stage for Holland and one United fans wanted to see given more opportunities in the first team.

Hopefully Fosu-Mensah gets his chance next season and we can get to see what he’s really about!
