Confirmed MUFC line-up vs Southampton – Pereira starts, Chong and Gomes on bench

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his starting eleven for this afternoon’s game against Southampton at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer will be looking to continue his unbeaten run in the Premier League against a lowly Saints side.

However, 3 of the last 4 meetings between the two sides have ended in a draw so there is no guaranteed three points for United today.

Andreas Pereira is given the nod in midfield alongside Scott McTominay who retains his place in midfield after looking composed in his two starts since Nemanja Matic was ruled out of action.

Marcus Rashford starts after fully recovering from the ankle injury he sustained during Sunday’s draw against Liverpool.

Romelu Lukaku will look to build on his double at Crystal Palace in midweek as he starts alongside Rashford in attack.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has selected two of United’s brightest young stars in the match day squad, with Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong both earning places on the substitutes bench.
