When I met Jesse Lingard back in May to film a commercial, you could tell he’s just a normal bloke that loves playing for Manchester United.
And in another wonderful gesture, the United forward visited Saint Margaret’s school in Warrington this week.
Jesse Lingard treated the kids at St Margaret’s school to free ice cream yesterday. Lovely gesture.

Lingard then took the time to treat kids to free ice cream from a van parked outside, and took memory form the occasion by taking pictures with some of his fans.

We look up to footballers more when we’re children, perhaps due to experience from dealing with them from a professional level, but Lingard’s generosity is genuine.
@JesseLingard Thanks for this afternoon- you’ve made Patrick’s day! Hope you enjoyed your ice cream 😉🍦 pic.twitter.com/TDJkdixYhU

Not too long ago, Lingard appeared on Soccer AM and missed a penalty meaning the AFC Wimbledon fans, making a guest appearance on the show, lost out on £500.
What a save from Hashtag Jacko! 😲
He’ll be living off saving this @JesseLingard penalty for years to come 🤣 pic.twitter.com/L1leE7CBJG

But the England international showed his true colours to make amends for costing the Wimbledon fans and offered those in attendance £600, as reported by SportsJoe.ie.
He missed the penalty on @SoccerAM for £500 but class act from @JesseLingard, gave us £600. Legend! #AFCWimbledon pic.twitter.com/j7PldVKOLW
