Loads of MUFC fans urge club to sign West Ham star after impressive performance in Liverpool draw

Declan Rice has become an important player at West Ham this season, with the midfielder putting in another solid display against Liverpool on Monday night.

The Hammers quickly came from behind to draw 1-1 as the Scousers trip up again in their pursuit to win the Premier League title. If Manchester City beat Everton on Wednesday they go back on top with a game in hand and a better goal difference.

But while Rice has been tipped as a quality young player for some time, the 20-year-old’s development this season has surprised many, with his international future up in air as England and the Republic of Ireland await to hear which country he will represent throughout the rest of his career.

Some United fans took to social media during West Ham’s encounter with Liverpool in order to urge the club to sign Rice.

His performance prompted a selection of Reds to reveal their desire to have the midfielder at Old Trafford.

A centre-back by trade, Rice has played the majority of this season in midfield and is flourishing as a result.

Rice looks mature beyond his years and as one United fan states below, he was unplayable against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However, there is one big stumbling block if United are going to considering making a move for Rice. He recently signed a new long-term deal with the London club that doesn’t expire until 2024, so any deal would likely involve silly money.
