Mason Greenwood silences Liverpool with two free-kicks in U18s clash as Man Utd pull off comeback win

Some Manchester United fans have called for Mason Greenwood to be handed his first-team debut after he inspired the Red Devils to a comeback win against rivals Liverpool.

As if inspiring a comeback from 2-0 down wasn’t enough, the both-footed tricky attacker made sure that the Red Devils did so in superb style.

Greenwood scored two free-kicks with his right-foot despite being noted down as a left-footed player.

Being able to score with both feet is one thing but scoring two free-kicks with your so-called weaker foot (if Mason even has one) is still no easy feat, especially against your rivals after being two goals down.

The attacker also showcased some fantastic footwork to assist one of his teammates.

Fans went crazy once they learned of Greenwood’s heroics and some have called for the 17-year-old to be handed his United debut in the near future:

There are certainly high hopes for Greenwood’s future. After seeing what the youngster is capable of there is no doubt in my mind that the 17-year-old could be the best product of United’s academy in years.
