(Watch) Man Utd U18 ace bags two goals and an assist against Norwich City

Manchester United’s Under-18s sailed to a comfortable 3-0 win against Norwich City on Saturday.

The Reds took the lead just five minutes into the game through Mason Greenwood, who drifted through several Norwich defenders before placing his shot calmly past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.

Then, against the run of play, Greenwood doubled United’s lead on the brink of half-time. A long ball over the top found the striker in a wide position before he outsprinted the opposition and dinked the ball over the keeper.

However, Greenwood wasn’t finished there. He cut in from the left flank with the ball and found Arnau Pugmal coming in off the right wing to drill home.

So, that’s an assist and two goals for young Greenwood. He’s a promising talent and fingers crossed we get to see him progress enough to warrant an opportunity in the first-team.

The U18s are not in action for another two weeks. Their next test is a home fixture against Manchester City on Saturday 24 November.

Hopefully, a win for the first-team against City tomorrow will set the mood for that clash.
