Confirmed MUFC line-up vs Bournemouth – Lukaku and Rashford dropped

Jose Mourinho has named his team to face Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The Reds kick-off at the Vitality Stadium at 12.30pm against an in-form Bournemouth side, who are three points better off in the league than their elite visitors.

It’s a must win for United with challenging fixtures against Juventus and Manchester City around the corner. If manager Jose Mourinho is to stick to his word and have United in a better position by the end of December, then anything but a victory over the Cherries will be deemed a major blow.

A report from The Sun claims Romelu Lukaku was not pictured on board the flight to the South Coast. The Belgium international did not even make the bench, with Alexis Sanchez brought back into the team to partner Anthony Martial and Juan Mata in attack.

The defence is unchanged from last week’s 2-1 win over Everton. Let’s hope Victor Lindelof can build on recent displays and start looking like a proper United centre-back.

Then in midfield it also remains the same with Nemanja Matic partnered by Fred and Paul Pogba.

A look at the bench would suggest that Scott McTominay and Matteo Darmian are deemed better options than Andreas Pereira and Eric Bailly. What on earth is going through Mourinho’s head?
