Video: MUFC target scores magnificent stoppage-time winner against Genoa

AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Genoa in the Serie A on Wednesday night.

It’s the best possible response to scoring an own goal at the other end, which Romagnoli did following a mistake from Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Romangoli was listed as a United target in the past summer and had offers to join the Premier League, as per the Manchester Evening News.

A deal never materialised but United are still searching for a quality centre-back and last night’s heroics will put Romagnoli’s name back in the frame.

The defender scored a volley in the 91st minute and a long ball from Ignazio Abate went forward before being punched away by Andrei Radu.

He made the volley look easy as the ball lofted over the Genoa goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

The 2-1 win over Genoa saw AC Milan climb into fourth spot – 10 points adrift of Serie A leaders Juventus.
