Rather than continue to show a strained demeanour following an under par start to the new season, Jose Mourinho made a somewhat promising prediction ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Everton.
Positioned 10th in the Premier League table, out of the League Cup and facing a fight to remain in the UEFA Champions League, things are not going as planned for United.

A questionable summer transfer window saw fans shift the blame from Mourinho onto the club and Ed Woodward, and a lot of that was justified.
But some of the manager’s decisions and his tactics this season – as well as not making a single substitution in the 1-0 defeat to Juventus midweek – has left us feeling a tad confused.
However, in Mourinho’s programme notes, as revealed by ESPN’s Rob Dawson, the manager predicts we’ll be in a very different position in the league come by the end of December.
Mourinho in his programme notes today: “We were seconds away from beating Chelsea and almost took a draw against Juventus. I believe that at the end of December we will be in a completely different position in the table.”

By different, we hope Mourinho means better and not worse!
It is also worth noting that such defeatist attitude shouldn’t wash with United fans. The draw at Chelsea isn’t the reason we’re stood so low in the table and almost nicking a draw against Juventus is hardly the sign of a revival.
