Confirmed line-ups: Man Utd vs Juventus – Ronaldo and Pogba both face former clubs

Jose Mourinho has named his starting eleven to face Juventus at Old Trafford in the UEFA Champions League.

After being held to a draw in our most recent Champions League outing, United are under pressure to get a result against Juve, who they face home and away in back-to-back clashes in the group stages.

The Serie A champions will go into both games as favourites with their domestic form superior to United. Massimiliano Allegri’s men are on a 9-game unbeaten run in the Italian top-flight.

Tonight sees the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is fondly remembered for his six seasons in Manchester, but hopefully fans realise once it’s kick-off their duty is to support United’s current players.

Manager Jose Mourinho may have got a mixed reaction at his old club Chelsea at the weekend, but Ronaldo will undoubtedly get a warm welcome back to Old Trafford.

The game also gives Paul Pogba an opportunity to face some of his former teammates still based in Turin, though that shouldn’t take anything away from the game.

Pogba is a player who often looks easily distracted, so tonight will show if the Frenchman is able to focus on the game as opposed to the whole occasion.

The starting line-ups have been posted on Twitter, as seen below:

It comes as a pleasant surprise to see youngster Tahith Chong named on the bench for The Reds. He’s a promising prospect, but with so many absentees has only come in to make up numbers.
