David de Gea admits he is ‘really happy’ to play for Manchester United and feels ‘really loved’ at the club.
Funnily enough, prior to Tuesday’s press conference we recorded this week’s Strettycast and discussed why De Gea is loved more by United fans than he is by the Spanish.
The Spaniard has entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford although the club have the option to trigger a one-year extension on that deal.

With Real Madrid completing the signing of Thibaut Courtois earlier this summer, it would be fair to say United have never been more confident of tying their No.1 down.
And speaking ahead of United’s Champions League group stage opener against Swiss opposition Young Boys, De Gea appeared similarly positive about his future at the club.
“I feel really loved at his club from the fans from all the people who are for this club,” he told reporters when asked about his contract situation.
“I am really happy to play for this club, one of best clubs in the world, so for me really good to be part of this club.”
During the summer, De Gea received a lot of criticism from the Spanish media for his performances at the World Cup, but he insists it did not affect him.
“Well normally I never listen,” he said. “Normally I focus on my job and focus on trying to help my team and trying to improve every training session and try to be as a good as I can.
“I never listen to stupid things like this they say.”
