(Watch) Aggressive football fan and security bust up as Man Utd stars wait on train at Watford Junction

Manchester United players had to be protected by Virgin Trains staff at Watford Junction after an attempted security breach by an aggressive football fan of unknown allegiance, in footage filmed from the station platform as the players and staff began their return trip home after the Premier League match at the weekend.

The owner of the video is not the person responsible for the unsavoury scenes.

As the team headed north back to Manchester Piccadilly after Saturday’s 2-1 win at Vicarage Road, the fan persistently pestered the United players for photos and autographs until he was swiftly led away by the police and station staff.

It was clear he was in no mood to go quietly, becoming increasingly aggressive despite repeated warnings from railway authorities.

It did not appear as if the perpetrator was a United fan, as he can be heard saying angrily: “Why should I have to move, I can stand where I want, it’s not my fault Man United are skint and travelling by train” during the scuffle, which was quickly resolved as he was taken away from the milling players to a different area of the station, allowing the players to board the train safely and peacefully.
