Jose Mourinho insists that Luke Shaw has recovered from his nasty fall on international duty with England, contrary to reports.
Shaw started for Gareth Southgate’s men against Spain last Saturday but was forced off on a stretcher during the 2-1 defeat after falling awkwardly following a challenge with Dani Cavajal.
The 23-year-old has been back to his best for both Manchester United and England, impressing fans with his willingness to run and aggressive streak in defensive areas.

Much of Shaw’s time at the club has been blighted by injury and fitness issues, but now it looks like he has overtaken Ashley Young in the pecking order at left-back, which also earned him his call-up to the Three Lions squad during the international break.
However, despite widespread reports that he would miss United’s trip to Watford on Saturday, as per The Express, Mourinho has revealed in Friday’s press conference that the full-back has fully recovered from his knock and could be in line for a return as early as this weekend.
It would be great to see Shaw back in action so quickly after getting the knock, but the club needs to make sure he’s not being rushed back. Head injuries are not worth risking regardless of having a competitive game or not.
Jose says @LukeShaw23 is available for selection on Saturday, but adds: “The only situation I have to analyse is if we are going to play him when during the week, he wasn’t training with the team.”@AnderHerrera and @Fellaini are both doubts. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/M23RhBz8ik
