(Watch) Lukaku scores his 41st goal for Belgium against Scotland

Romelu Lukaku was on the scoresheet for Belgium in their international friendly against Scotland on Friday night as the hosts gave them a huge helping hand.

Roberto Martinez went with a strong side at Hampden Park, but it took 28 minutes for his side to open the scoring.

It eventually came with Scotland making a mess of playing out from the back as Mousa Dembele pounced to win back possession high up the pitch. Then Thorgan Hazard kept his head and squared the ball across the goal to Lukaku to have an easy finish.

Whether it’s club or country, we want to see Lukaku scoring goals and hitting top form. That will benefit Manchester United as much as it does Belgium.

Aged 25, that was Lukaku’s 41st goal for Belgium and he won’t have many easier ones either.

He was in the right place at the right time to apply the finish. Hopefully, he does it again for United when domestic football resumes next weekend.
