(Video) Man Utd loanee raises eyebrows with stunning performance

A video doing the rounds on Twitter has captured Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s brilliant performance for Fulham against Burnley.

Manchester United decided to send the Netherlands international on loan again this season, following his season-long loan at Crystal Palace last term.

The call to send Fosu-Mensah to Fulham was met with criticism from United fans, who are probably still of the opinion he’s already good enough to feature regularly in Jose Mourinho’s side, especially with his versatility to play against the back four.

However, as the clip shows, Fosu-Mensah likes to bomb forward and this Fulham side looks rather offensive, which could suggest we’ll see more performances of this nature throughout the season.

It’s no secret that United need a lot more going forward and with Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot yet to return from injuries, Fosu-Mensah could have had a start at making the right-back position his own.

That said, I’d much prefer to see him playing week in week out for Fulham than sat at the bench at United when, at this stage, it’s key he gets game time in order to develop into a better player.

The question for Mourinho, who will be watching Fosu-Mensah closely this season, is whether or not he’s going to be a better option than Dalot in the future?

United signed Dalot from FC Porto in the summer to act this season as Valencia’s understudy, but he still waits to make his eagerly anticipated debut for the club.

So far this season, Mourinho has played Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young at right-back and none of the two performed in the role.
