Man Utd on red alert as Barcelona make second offer for Willian

According to Sky Sports this afternoon, La Liga champions Barcelona have tabled a hefty offer for Chelsea forward Willian.

Willian, 29, has been at Chelsea since 2013 when he joined from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to United pretty much since Jose Mourinho’s arrival to Old Trafford. They worked together at Stamford Bridge and built quite a relationship, and it now said the boss wants to take Willian from the London club this summer.

It would be quite the coup too, with Willian establishing himself as a key figure for the Blues in recent years, racking up over 200 appearances across his 5 seasons in England’s capital.

Last season, Willian notched 13 goals and 12 assists in 55 matches.

But now the 62-time capped Selecao star could be on his way to Catalonia…

Sky Sports believe Barcelona have today taken their interest in Willian a step further, by lodging an offer worth ‘up to £53 million’ for the player.

What does this mean for United? We’ll soon see. If Mourinho wants his man, he really should get on that phone to Ed Woodward.
