Man Utd consider cashing in star for world’s most promising player

Manchester United have reportedly registered their interest in sealing the transfer of Kylian Mbappe with the Paris Saint-Germain star’s advisers.

The Reds appear prepared to pounce if Mbappe’s permanent transfer from AS Monaco to PSG falls through.

That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim PSG could be in trouble over Financial Fair Play, and it’s suggested they could still pull the plug on their deal to sign Mbappe permanently after he joined last summer.

Mbappe is considered one of the most exciting prospects on the planet and it would be hard to find United fans who wouldn’t welcome such a signing.

United need to be more efficient in front of goal next season and signing Mbappe should be enough to achieve that, but Jose Mourinho is already struggling to keep all of his attackers happy with game time. Adding another to that — unless the boss plans to leave one of Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford go — would only make matters worse.

Not for us fans, though. We want to see the best players in the world at United and, with Mbappe setting the football world alight at just 19, it would be wise to take up an offer such one arise.

The Mirror report that United may well be prepared to pay around £86 million for Mbappe and offer Martial as part of the deal to lower his £166 million valuation down.

Mourinho knows the pressure will be on next season and a signing this big should bring United closer to Manchester City, who walked away with the title last season.
