Revealed: The player Ed Woodward dreams of bringing to Man Utd

Manchester United are reportedly desperate to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale this summer.

The Wales international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford since admitting he was unhappy after being benched for big games under former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Bale, 28, was also targeted by United last summer, however, he opted to stay and snub a Premier League return.

The former Tottenham talisman came on from the bench against Liverpool in the Champions League final and scored an incredible match-winning brace.

And, according to the Manchester Evening News, United had already discussed a summer move for Bale before he spoke out after Madrid’s latest Champions League triumph last month.

They add that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward dreams of bringing Bale to Old Trafford.

Mourinho has already completed two signings this summer with FC Porto right-back Diogo Dalot and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred joining United.

  1. Why would Woodward want Bale? He is another that uses United for his own ends, he has said he wishes to stay at Madrid, if Madrid no longer want him why should United have their cast offs. This does not smell of desire to want to come to United this looks like United being a very good cash cow consolation. The wrong attitude altogether.
