Man Utd star wanted on loan by three Premier League clubs

Everton are plotting an ambitious attempt to take Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

Rashford, 20, has continued to impress at Old Trafford last season despite largely playing a role from the bench following Alexis Sanchez’s January arrival.

The England international remains behind Romelu Lukaku in the pecking order and with Jose Mourinho searching for a like-for-like backup option for the Belgian this summer, Rashford may find himself further down the list come the start of the season.

But if Rashford can get a big World Cup campaign under his belt, Mourinho may be forced to use him more regularly as a starter.

However, it has been suggested by some that a move away from Old Trafford would be best for his development should it mean more game time and now Everton have come into the frame.

The Daily Mail also name check Leicester City and Newcastle United, with all clubs looking to take Rashford on loan next season.

For United, it’s important we don’t lose a youngster of this quality permanently. If he’s not part of Mourinho’s plan for the 2018/19 campaign, it’s best to send him out on loan –- as long as he can’t play against us!
