Jose Mourinho advising Real Madrid on Zinedine Zidane’s replace with shock contender entering the frame

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly given Real Madrid advice over who should replace Zinedine Zidane as their next manager.

Real Madrid are currently without a head coach, but they will be hoping whoever comes in can continue their unbelievable form in the Champions League after winning Europe’s most prestigious competition three times on the trot.

A number of big names have been linked with the job at the Bernabeu, including Mourinho himself by Spanish news outlet OkDiario, but it seems he’d rather offer advice than return to Madrid.

Don Balon are reporting Mourinho has told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez should appoint his former assistant Aitor Karanka as Zidane’s replacement.

That would be a shock replacement to Zidane, although Karanka and Mourinho worked well together during the United manager’s time in Madrid, though Karanka went on to get the sack at Middlesborough.

The Spaniard is currently in charge of Nottingham Forrest, but Mourinho apparently believes he should be in the running for one of the biggest managerial jobs in world football.

Talk about a step up…

The transfer news Godfather, Gianluca Di Marzio, suggests there has been in contact with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, but Don Balon also claim he’s no longer a strong contender.

It wouldn’t surprise us if Mourinho told Madrid to steer clear of the wig-wearing specialist.
