Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a blow as it’s been claimed that £50 million transfer target Ryan Sessegnon would prefer a move to Liverpool.
The 18-year-old scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in 52 appearances across all competitions for Fulham, which is a good return for a player transformed into a winger from full-back.

Sessegnon created an assist in the play-off final against Aston Villa at Wembley last weekend to see the Cottagers return to the Premier League next season.
Fulham, quite obviously, will be desperate to avoid losing him as he still has his entire career ahead of him having impressed so early on, although The Express claim Manchester United are being linked with a £50 million move for the teenager this summer.
It strikes me as an odd one that several sources are suggesting Sessegnon would come in and immediately slot in at left-back despite not playing there for over a year. At Fulham the past season, he has been used as a winger.
United are already well stocked on the left winger, so I’m sure whether or not to take this story with a pinch of salt.
Nevertheless, the Express add that the Fulham ace would prefer a move to Liverpool, the team he grew up supporting. It’s been painted as a blow for Jose Mourinho and United, but I can’t see where he would fit in if Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are currently behind Alexis Sanchez in the left-wing pecking order.
It remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp fancies Sessegnon…
