Transfer Round-Up: Man Utd prepare £44m bid for Brazil international

Find out who is in, who is out, and who Manchester United are targeting next. From done deals to contract renewals, Stretty News will keep you up to date with all the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip from the newspapers and around web every day.

Manchester United are on the cusp of signing Juventus star Alex Sandro, according to La Stampa, as per the Metro. The Brazilian didn’t make the World Cup squad, so a deal could be struck anytime this summer. Jose Mourinho identified Sandro as his prime target for left-back at an early stage of the 2017/18 campaign. The report suggests that we’re putting the finishing touches on a £44 million deal for the Juve defender.

The rumours linking Leonardo Bonucci to United aren’t going away. 101 Great Goals ran a piece on the story this morning, with claims Mourinho has a bargaining chip for AC Milan. It’s time for Mourinho to bring in a proper partner for Eric Bailly, while Victor Lindelof potentially moves on-loan, hopefully to another Premier League club.

Mourinho was asked about buying Cristiano Ronaldo again but told Record “I believe that Real Madrid cannot sell him, it is prohibited. He has to stay until the moment they authorise him to go and play one year in America or anywhere else that wants to enjoy. It is a closed door.” While that ship has sailed, Ronaldo remains a player I adore and still regard as the very best. Hopefully he tears Liverpool apart single-handedly in Kiev.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, translated by Calciomercato, Barcelona are very close to securing the signing of Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet, who is also liked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool.
