Ajax starlet Justin Kluivert is favouring a move to Manchester United this summer following a breakdown in negotiations with the Eredivisie side, according to Guardian Sport.
United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be targeting the youngster casting even more doubt over Anthony Martial’s future at the club.
Kluivert, son of football icon Patrick, is set to leave Ajax this summer.
Having scored ten goals in 30 league games this season, Kluivert turned down a contract that would see him Ajax’s highest paid player, as per the Daily Mail.
The Reds have subsequently expressed an interest in signing the player, whose contract expires next summer.
However, Dutch football writer, Elko Born, has raised concerned about Kluivert leaving the Eredivisie for the Premier League too soon, using Memphis Depay as an example.
If the step from the Eredivisie to the Premier League was too big for Memphis Depay then it sure as f*** going to be too big for Justin Kluivert.
