Man Utd to ask Romelu Lukaku to help lure one of Belgium’s hottest prospects

I haven’t heard of him but you’re probably going to try sign him on your FIFA 18 Manager Mode or Football Manager the second you get home from work.

Anderlecht starlet Eliot Matazo is reportedly attracting interest across Europe, with Manchester United allegedly chasing the midfielder to add to their ranks.

Matazo currently captains Anderlecht’s Under-16 side, so we can assume he’s learning the traits of a leader.

Belgium have brought through some cracking players in recent years and a number of them have made names for themselves in the Premier League and European football. Romelu Lukaku has had an excellent debut season for Manchester United, Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders in world football and Thibaut Courtois isn’t too shabby for a goalkeeper either.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, translated by our friends over at SportWitness, United are hoping to use several tactics to convince Matazo to join them ahead of other European clubs. The story also claims we’ve sent officials to Belgium, in order to convince the teenage to make a switch to England to further his development.

The club is of the view that Belgium international Lukaku could help lure Matazo, which would be a great idea to fend off competition from other clubs for his signature, with Ligue 1 outfit apparently sniffing around.

I mean, a brief WhatsApp message or Snapchat from Lukaku should do the trick. A selfie with Paul Pogba or clip of Alexis Sanchez trapped at the roots of Marouane Fellaini’s scalp.
