Rashford and Martial start – 4-3-3: Manchester United predicted XI to face Brighton

Manchester United travel to Brighton on Friday night where three points would all-but secure second place with just two games remaining.

We go into the game on a three-game winning streak in all competitions, but the hosts have yet to win a game since beating Arsenal back in March.

However, Brighton have a five-point gap lead over the bottom three. They still have three games left.

Here is the line-up we’re expecting to see tonight:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

Picks himself. The best goalkeeper the world has to offer.

Defence: Antonio Valencia, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalliing, Ashley Young

Mourinho offered a bizarre reason for Eric Bailly’s exclusion of late, so for that we’re going with two centre backs that have a World Cup to look forward to this summer. At full-back, it’s the two makeshift options. I can’t wait for the transfer window to reopen.

Midfield: Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba

Matic has been our main man in the middle all season and I don’t expect that to change tonight. Pogba could do with ending the season on a high, with more goals and assists, and tonight at Brighton should be a good opportunity to increase his tally for the season. Herrera will hopefully get the nod over Fellaini.

Attack: Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez

How exciting does that look? Go on, take another quick read of that attacking line-up.

With that we could really hit Brighton on the counter with pace and hope Martial can take his chances from a central position. What would be intriguing, although unlikely to happen, is that all three attacking players being given permission to attack by constantly interchanging to ultimately confuse the Brighton defence. They’re all capable of playing wide and central roles.
