Our friends at Tifo Football take a tactical look at Jose Mourinho’s use of French midfielder Paul Pogba. They also ask the question which is his best position?
Pogba has not had the easiest two seasons since returning from Juventus. The critics are never too far away, Jose Mourinho isn’t afraid to throw his £89 million signing under the bus, and the reoccurring links to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid don’t help either.
I, for one, consider myself to be a huge admirer of Pogba, although I can’t say it’s rare that he leaves me frustrated. The France international is guilty of trying too hard in attempt to impress, even when there are easier options available on the pitch.
Is that a trait that comes with maturity? I’m not sure but Mourinho needs to figure out a way to get the best from Pogba for next season.
