Worst possible news for Manchester United ahead of FA Cup Final with key player potentially missing

Manchester United could be dealt a major blow as reports emerging ahead of their biggest game of the season next month against Chelsea stating that Romelu Lukaku may miss out through injury.

The Sun are reporting that the Belgian international, who previously played for the Blues as a youngster, could be out of their clash against Brighton this week after he picked up an ankle knock against Arsenal on Sunday.

The FA Cup is just three weeks away and the same report suggests Lukaku could face a fight against time to be fit for the encounter, and as United’s top goalscorer for the season that would come as a huge blow for United and a plus for Antonio Conte’s men.

Lukaku has been a constant threat up front since joining from Everton last summer. Chelsea defence will certain fancy their chances more without him on the pitch and will consider this news as a great advantage.

The 24-year-old has managed to score a total of 27 goals and clock up nine assists in 50 appearances for the club, which is a formidable record considering it’s his first season at the club.

Both teams will be looking to finish the season on a high, but without Lukaku that becomes an uphill climb for the Reds.
